The why

My journey with Pink Up GC is deeply personal. Having experienced the healthcare system firsthand, I was profoundly moved by the generosity and kindness of volunteers who offered support during my own battle. Now, I’m determined to advocate for further support services for other cancer patients who are also on the same journey and are in need of vital assistance as I did and still do to this day.”

Sally Anne, Mermaid

“At my worst, and without immediate support from family and friends who lived interstate I was in hospital care for a month, there was a period of time I was unable to walk and relied heavily on assistance, this was a critical time in my life and one of my scariest. The unknown and the new path that I was travelling with local limited services available to me at short notice. without continued support it would be impossible for me to continue my life saving treatments whilst living at home we need more funding for these services.”
